Introduce yourselves!
|
Hey all,
I’m not part of the R&B team but I would love to get the first discussion started. – Since R&B is still not nearly as big as it strives to be, we need to work together to get to that! Because of this, I think it would be dope if everybody would just introduce themselves and their affiliation with R&B: What kinds of R&B do you listen to? Who are you favourite artists? What albums are you currently looking out for the most? Etc.
Answering these kind of questions will give the rest of the people here a lot of insight. If we can get to know your tastes we’ll be able to tag you when there’s something going on you may like, you know?

BLACKPINK in your area, eh-oh / BLACKPINK in your area, eh-oh
|
“BLACKPINK in your area” is BLACKPINK’s signature line to start off most of their songs. It’s been used ever since their debut, and is the third time JENNIE has sang it in any of BLACKPINK’s lead tracks. It is also the name of one of BLACKPINK’s previous world tours and Japanese compilation album. A description of the iconic line was said in an interview with E!:
When we say ‘BLACKPINK in your area,’ we’re literally saying we’re in your area with good music, with good energy, we’re here for you.
Surprisingly, in the official “Shut Down” music video teaser, JISOO is accompanied by some pink posters on walls saying “BLACKPINK in your area” with a bold black font.
